 WHO WAS OR IS BEHEMOTH?

A Brontosaurus?

Nessy monster

and therefore..... The Loch Ness Monster?

BEHEMOTH.

15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.   Job 40: 15-24

Behemoth b movie

Despite this colourful poster, the orginal film "Behemoth the Sea Monster" (1959) was filmed in  black and white, and was an American-British science-fiction film co-production. It quoted the Book of Job about the creature Behemoth at the beginning. There has been a modern remake since. The Monster was portrayed in a Godzilla fashion.

Yes that is right!

Some Christians believe that not all the dinosaurs died in the flood, and perhaps eggs were taken onto the Ark. In which case, they claim, Behemoth was a sauropod dinosaur, as its tail is like (as long as) a cedar tree. But another startling possibility arises from this. What if this means that the date commonly given to the Book of Job is not correct? And Job was alive PRE flood, and thus both Behemoth and the Leviathan are references to dinosaurs? Dinosaurs not left behind in the flood. Remember Noah did not catch animals, God brought them by miraculous power two by two to the ark.

DOES JOB'S AGE CONTRADICT

A POST-FLOOD DATE FOR THE BOOK OF JOB?

But God said to Noah "And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." Genesis 6:3. Of course some (like Barnes) say this was a probation period for mankind to repent. But orthers believe that after the flood happened the life span of mankind was shortened to be on average 120. However Job was much older than this, quote "

After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.

17 So Job died, being old and full of days." Job 42:16-17

SABRE TOOTHED TIGER

Hu? A sabre Toothed Tiger? Eating grass? Yet it says in the Millennium Kingdom lions will eat straw like an Ox. But how could "taking up the Jordan in his mouth" fit? Unless it is hunting in ancient tar pits by water? Difficult to work that into the picture. Though if an Elephant's and a Hippo's tail can be said to look like a small version of a tree, so I do suppose could the tail of a cat. This example is good perhaps to show the others a far more plausible!
