You must be sincere when you believe the gospel. You must be genuine and real ! You must mean it !

HOW TO BE SAVED TODAY!

The Good News, or gospel. is very simple, in a phrase it is "The Jesus Saves Gospel!" To be saved today you must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, crucified to take away your sins, and resurrected."

The resurrection is just as much a part of your salvation as his crucifixion, to wash away our sins in his blood!

So what does the expression "believe in" Jesus mean? It means "to trust in and rely upon" Jesus for your salvation.

Now you may notice that Jesus, Peter, Paul, John and everyone else tell us that we must also repent, or turn away from our sins. Repentance is always present in everyone who truly and sincerely believes in Jesus. however repentance is the quality indicator of belief. Repentance itself does not save us. You are not made worthy of eternal life in Paradise with God Almighty by your own work of repentance. You are saved by Grace through Faith alone. Works do not save us. Jesus saves! However to say you believe in Jesus, and have no intention of turning away from and battling against sin is a contradiction. You must be sincere.

So if you want to be saved, take the advice of Jesus:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 .

Important scriptures

To show what the "Gospel by which we are saved" is.

The Gospel Defined:

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 .

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:31 .

"Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." Romans 4:25 .

Jesus preaches the Gospel first

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 .

"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

And ye are witnesses of these things." Luke 24: 45-49
